12oz hessian, ideal for creating pictures, cutting up for needle felt bunting, card making and lots more, such as the felting mat below.
Make your own felting mat using hessian:
Available in the following sizes-
60x50cm
30x50cm
This is also great for making your own felting mat filled with rice or wheat. Sew a pouch or sack of a size to your liking, fill with rice or wheat grains so that you have a thickness of about 5-6cm. Sew up the open part and use this as a mat to felt on. This is a great way to be environmentally friendly and have a mat that lasts forever. If you fill it with wheat, you could even use it a heat cushion when your neck hurts after all the needle felting.
Some people like to double up the hessian but we have found it works well just as a single layer as the weave is too small for grains to pop out.
The only reason why we don't sell these bags ready filled, is because they weigh a lot and by using food we get involved in a whole new area that we are not equipped for.

Can’t wait to make these mouselings . Great supplies and detailed instructions
Amazing Value for money large quantity of items suitable for anyone’s stash
I've found these needles to be excellent quality and reasonably priced having a labelled container makes it easy to find a new needle when required. I would recommend them.
Just what we were looking for to make armatures for small felted animals.
So far I've made 5 of these (sheep, penguin, owl, guinea pig and duck) and they are all just so cute. If you're new to felting, I'd start with the owl as it was the least complicated, and quick to make. The wools are lovely and soft. I have found it easier to use a core wool for the basic shape and use the kit wools to cover. I got these as part of the Black Friday deal so were a good price too.
I thought I wrote this but my cats feels I should write it again (after all its from them), I saw this wonderful kit sold on behalf of Cat Protection and it looked fun, I love needle felting and wanted to learn how to make jewellery and this kit was it (2 things I love cats and felting, so bought as a gift from my 2 cats) its wrapped and under the tree. Ready for me to make over Christmas, and of course I will be going back to the web site to check out other kits.
Exactly what I ordered, arrived in time for Christmas
Absolutely beautiful 😍
It’s lovely and soft short fibres. It felts really quickly. I’m making a gingerbread man on a tweed wool fabric, to add to Christmas cards. The idea was from the Makerss Advent Calendar. I’m starting now for next Christmas, so all my cards are going to be gingerbread men, reindeer, Santa, snowman etc.
Easy to use glue pen especially for smaller pieces.
This little magnetic case works really well holding some of my felting needles. It's great for safely transporting my felting needles when I'm out and about. Highly recommended.
This is a mix of 3 different gauge needles. I love these as I've found that they felt a bit faster and don't leave as noticeable holes as some other needles do. Highly recommended.
This is a brilliant little tool. It has saved my fingers many times from accidental stabbing while I'm trying to work my edges. I'm going to order the round ones as well. Highly recommended.
These multi tools are really good. I have a few of them so that I have one wherever I'm needle felting. I like to make sure that I have access to one whither I'm needle felting at home or somewhere else. I highly recommend them as they make some needle felting tasks much easier.
Large enough to make several felting blocks/pads in various sizes and thicknesses- I was struggling with foam pads wearing out and this is the perfect solution!
Arrived this morning and I’ve already made one pad which is proving to be brilliant for my little projects!!
A lovely large piece of hessian with a very fine even weave. I've used it for backing for a 2D needle felted dog that I have added to an embroidery hoop.
