Felting Needles - all packed in a safe screw-top shatterproof tube!
Basic Needles: Our economy needles our particularly suitable for total beginners (this is why we put them into our kits). They are a lot sturdier and you can tell their sizes apart by comparing the lengths of the needles. The longest is a coarse #36, the middle one a medium #38 and the shortest (standard size) a fine #40.
We stock a mix of needles including Groz Beckert high quality felting needles (see below). They are marked with a colour on the top. Below is a guide to the needles we sell, and the colours we use:
Standard: Good quality felting needles available in triangle shaped cross section. Marked with a colour on the end.
#36 coarse - White (x6)
#38 medium - Orange (x6) or (x10)
#40 fine - Green (x6)
#42 Extra Fine -Burgundy (x6)
Standard Mix Tube: (#36 coarse x 2, #38 medium x 2, #40 fine x 2)
Twisted (Spiral) (Groz Beckert): The needles are triangular in cross section but twisted, a little like a drill bit in looks. We love twisted needles as we have found they work faster and leave less visible holes. Marked with a colour on the end.
#36 coarse - Black (x3)
#38 medium - Purple (x3)
#40 fine - Red (x3)
#42 very fine - Baby Pink (x3)
Twisted Mix Tube: (#36 coarse x 1, #38 medium x 1, #40 fine x 1)
Twisted (Spiral) Star: The best of both worlds of the twisted needles and the star needle combined. We love these needles! They were a favourite gift in our 2018 advent calendar.
#38 medium - Dark Blue (x3)
Cross-Star (Groz Beckert): The Cross-Star needles have 4 sides which means they catch fibres from 4 different places rather than 3 as the triangle needles do, making them a much harder worker.
#38 medium - Yellow (x3)
Crown (Groz Beckert): This needle is used for very fine work. The most common use is to add hair or detailed fur to a project. Good needle for use on dolls eyebrows, eyelashes and hair.
#42 very fine - Opal (x6)
Reverse (Groz Beckert): The needles have notches / barbs on them which face the opposite direction to normal needles, and therefore pull the fibres outwards rather than stabbing them inwards. This creates a lovely fluffy effect which is great for needle felt animals. See our free tips on using the Reverse Needle here.
#32 coarse - Teal (x5)
#40 fine - Coral (x3)
Reverse Mix Tube: (#32 coarse x 2, #40 fine x 2)
Crown (Groz Beckert): This needle is used for very fine work. The most common use is to add hair or detailed fur to a project and smooth the surface. The notches are at the very tip of the needle and it is therefore suitable for superficial surface work.

Can’t wait to make these mouselings . Great supplies and detailed instructions
Amazing Value for money large quantity of items suitable for anyone’s stash
I've found these needles to be excellent quality and reasonably priced having a labelled container makes it easy to find a new needle when required. I would recommend them.
Just what we were looking for to make armatures for small felted animals.
So far I've made 5 of these (sheep, penguin, owl, guinea pig and duck) and they are all just so cute. If you're new to felting, I'd start with the owl as it was the least complicated, and quick to make. The wools are lovely and soft. I have found it easier to use a core wool for the basic shape and use the kit wools to cover. I got these as part of the Black Friday deal so were a good price too.
I thought I wrote this but my cats feels I should write it again (after all its from them), I saw this wonderful kit sold on behalf of Cat Protection and it looked fun, I love needle felting and wanted to learn how to make jewellery and this kit was it (2 things I love cats and felting, so bought as a gift from my 2 cats) its wrapped and under the tree. Ready for me to make over Christmas, and of course I will be going back to the web site to check out other kits.
Exactly what I ordered, arrived in time for Christmas
Absolutely beautiful 😍
It’s lovely and soft short fibres. It felts really quickly. I’m making a gingerbread man on a tweed wool fabric, to add to Christmas cards. The idea was from the Makerss Advent Calendar. I’m starting now for next Christmas, so all my cards are going to be gingerbread men, reindeer, Santa, snowman etc.
Easy to use glue pen especially for smaller pieces.
This little magnetic case works really well holding some of my felting needles. It's great for safely transporting my felting needles when I'm out and about. Highly recommended.
This is a mix of 3 different gauge needles. I love these as I've found that they felt a bit faster and don't leave as noticeable holes as some other needles do. Highly recommended.
This is a brilliant little tool. It has saved my fingers many times from accidental stabbing while I'm trying to work my edges. I'm going to order the round ones as well. Highly recommended.
These multi tools are really good. I have a few of them so that I have one wherever I'm needle felting. I like to make sure that I have access to one whither I'm needle felting at home or somewhere else. I highly recommend them as they make some needle felting tasks much easier.
