Water Soluble 'Paper' / Fabric
We love this 'paper' which in fact feels more like a fabric and is the only water soluble paper which we know works for needle felting. In fact it is complete magic for making flowers, motifs, butterflies, leaves and many more ideas!
See our free tutorials for flowers, butterflies, bunting
Available in different sizes
(*Not suitable for making printed soaps, or paper soap*)
Simply draw on your outline, needle felt your main colour over the entire shape, add details, then cut around the outside and dip in water for 1-2 seconds. The paper will completely dissolve and you are just left with the wool. You can shape while drying to create a 3d effect.
Can also be used for other purposes such as freehand machine embroidery.
Orders of more than one metre may be sent as one piece, unless specified.

from 1607 reviewsI saw this kit via the Cat Protection web site, kept on putting it off, but had to get it. I bought it as a Christmas gift from my 2 cats who were both adopted from Cat Protection Shay-Pixie is a kitten (only had him for a couple of months) Flick she is about 6. I love felting (needle & wet) I love this kit the fact that its cats its a plus and jewellery is a bonus, I've put the kit under the tree, have not looked at it don't want to spoil the surprise, I will be checking out your web site for other kits you do.
Exactly what I ordered, arrived in time for Christmas
Absolutely beautiful 😍
It’s lovely and soft short fibres. It felts really quickly. I’m making a gingerbread man on a tweed wool fabric, to add to Christmas cards. The idea was from the Makerss Advent Calendar. I’m starting now for next Christmas, so all my cards are going to be gingerbread men, reindeer, Santa, snowman etc.
Easy to use glue pen especially for smaller pieces.
This little magnetic case works really well holding some of my felting needles. It's great for safely transporting my felting needles when I'm out and about. Highly recommended.
This is a mix of 3 different gauge needles. I love these as I've found that they felt a bit faster and don't leave as noticeable holes as some other needles do. Highly recommended.
This is a brilliant little tool. It has saved my fingers many times from accidental stabbing while I'm trying to work my edges. I'm going to order the round ones as well. Highly recommended.
These multi tools are really good. I have a few of them so that I have one wherever I'm needle felting. I like to make sure that I have access to one whither I'm needle felting at home or somewhere else. I highly recommend them as they make some needle felting tasks much easier.
Nice grip and easy to use. These scissors are nice and sharp. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
This is my 3rd advent project and I always enjoy them.
Item is a Xmas gift so currently unopened.
Beautiful amber eyes that look great for animal projects. Thank you!
So happy with my purchases from yourselves. I met a charming & helpful young lady recently at the Harrogate show. I purchased a few items then.
It’s a great online shop, I will no doubt soon be ordering more wool as I do a lot of felting.
Very happy with the free landscape pictures and looking forward to making them.
I bought this for felting leaves. It was ok to use, good to try out products. Glue dissolved quickly and I could felt very thinly. On picture just used for oak leaves and copper beech too impatient for the amount I needed!
Very pleased with product
Water soluble paper is so easy to use and helps make a variety of items. Flower petals that can be shaped as they dry are one of my favourite uses. Prompt delivery and great service as always from The Makerss.
Fantastic product, a total game changer
Made creating an image of a 'bauble' so much easier - follows curved surface so keeping size and perspective
