Large Barn Owl Needle Felt Pack (with or without tools) makes one realistic barn owl. It is a large project - stick with the instructions step by step and you will surprise yourself with the results! You may also choose not to make the legs but to attach the owl directly to a piece of wood - this can be done by passing a wire through the owl and then drilling into the wood to glue the wire in or wrapping the wire around it.

You can choose to purchase this pack with or without the Mini Eco Tool Kit.
Suitable for very crafty beginners, aged 10+ and more seasoned needle felters.

Size in cm: approx. 30cm tall
Techniques used: 3D shaping, wire birds legs, surface decorations.
This pack contains:
- Full colour, step-by-step instructions with detailed templates.
- 6 different types of wool.
- Water Soluble Paper, wire and glass glue-in eyes
You will also need: felting needles and mat , sharp scissors, PVA glue with small nozzle, pencil for tracing, wire cutters & pliers (optional).

They are good quality needles come clearly marked and come in a tube for safe storage

I love these felting mats, and have a smaller set that I use for smaller needlefelts, however this larger one will enable me to felt larger items ie. Clothes that need more space. Very good quality and I love that there is no plastic so they are an eco friendly option

I would recommend watching the video for the birds feet as it’s very informative.
Realistic in size and make, this is a great kit. You need time, patience and some skills from previous felting as this is too complex for a very beginner. Beautiful owl is worth the effort.
This is a fantastic kit! I never imagined I could achieve such a realistic animal. Follow the instructions exactly (even when you have doubts as it looks more like an ice cream than an owl) it WILL come right!
It’s life sized but not firmly felted. Looks very realistic on our mantle piece. Highly recommend this 😊 🦉
This was one of the first Subs boxes that I made and probably the most complex and large make. Learnt lots of new techniques, from the soluble paper which works like magic! Also the wired feet and blending the wools (which are such great quality). Took quite a few hours to make but was definitely worth it. The instructions are really clear so even someone new to felting would be able to achieve this.
