Large Barn Owl Needle Felt Pack makes one realistic barn owl. It is a large project - stick with the instructions step by step and you will surprise yourself with the results! You may also choose not to make the legs but to attach the owl directly to a piece of wood - this can be done by passing a wire through the owl and then drilling into the wood to glue the wire in or wrapping the wire around it.

This pack contains:
- Digital Full colour, step-by-step instructions accessed via QR or opt for printed instructions (choose a different option to have paper instructions included)
- 6 different types of wool.
- Water Soluble Paper, wire and glass glue-in eyes
- Optional: Tools (choose the relevant option to be included): Felting needles, Eco Wool Felting Mat (made from recycled wool and 100% compostable)
You will also need: sharp scissors, PVA glue with small nozzle, pencil for tracing, wire cutters & pliers (optional).

I would recommend watching the video for the birds feet as it’s very informative.
Realistic in size and make, this is a great kit. You need time, patience and some skills from previous felting as this is too complex for a very beginner. Beautiful owl is worth the effort.
This is a fantastic kit! I never imagined I could achieve such a realistic animal. Follow the instructions exactly (even when you have doubts as it looks more like an ice cream than an owl) it WILL come right!
It’s life sized but not firmly felted. Looks very realistic on our mantle piece. Highly recommend this 😊 🦉
This was one of the first Subs boxes that I made and probably the most complex and large make. Learnt lots of new techniques, from the soluble paper which works like magic! Also the wired feet and blending the wools (which are such great quality). Took quite a few hours to make but was definitely worth it. The instructions are really clear so even someone new to felting would be able to achieve this.
