Our Crafternoon Pack contains:
- 27x Felting Needles in 9x Fine, 9x Medium and 9x Coarse
- 6x basic wool felting mat sets (2 to each set) 10cm x 15cm
- 6x Illustrated Pom Pom Garland Needle Felt Instructions
- 6x Basics of Needle Felting Guide
The Crafternoon pack is designed to be shared with up to 6 people. Each person will have needles to be able to use consisting of 1 fine, 1 medium and 1 coarse plus a few spares, our EcoWool felting mat set each, illustrated Pom Pom Garland instructions and a Basic Needle Felting Guide each.
Why not team this with one or two mixed wool packs and some other supplies such as birds legs and glue in eyes and you will have everything you need to begin needle felting with your friends. We even have some free tutorials you can use - see our tutorials pages.
Note: the EcoWool Mat is made in the UK from recycled wool and is fully home compostable at the end of its life. The two mats will fuse together after a few stabs.
Important when 2D Needle Felting: When felting flat on the mat, as with any other mats, you will have to lift off your work regularly to stop it from getting fastened on. You can use a ‘barrier’ to create a thin finish and/or stop any fibre contamination. Try using a grease proof baking sheet or our wool viscose felt sheets. These will help but you will still have to lift off your work regularly.

Got these to give to friends to get them started with felting. One is addicted already. A very good pack to use for a class, the instructions for the ball are clear and easy to follow, the information sheet is full of useful advice. Really pleased with it.

I purchased this pack with a view to using it to show 5 members of my WI group how to needle felt and I wasn't disappointed. I didn't use the instructions for making felt balls as instead we made mini gnomes. The ladies loved session and I may have made some more converts to the craft.
This made a great starter pack to introduce my friends to needle felting. Everything is provided apart from the ‘fluff’ for 6 people to make pom-pom garlands, which is a great introduction to start needle felting. We all had great fun and my friends are now converts to the art!
