Back by popular demand our Dutch Texel wool tops are an economical choice for large wire armature wool or core wool. It is a coarse wool at 34 microns. It works really well to turn into curls but they would be more suitable for making sheep or gnomes or other larger less delicate creatures. If you want to know how to make curls out of it visit our tutorials page on Making curls
Great for creating a base on the wire wreath together with basic core wool
A much cheaper alternative to our Ryeland wool

Ideal for wreath making.
This is the perfect core wool for use when creating wreaths. It winds neatly and easily around the wire wreath base. It also felts lovely when used to sculpt small animal bodies for example. Would definitely recommend and will be purchasing more soon!
I use huge quantities of core wool as I make my animals really densely felted - this felts easily and is very reasonable - the only problem is I keep running out of it and having to order stacks more!!!!
