Extra strong pipe cleaner coil - 4 continuous metres, white, ideal for wire armatures for needle felting.
Ideal for those who love our extra strong pipe cleaners but who find that 30cm isn't long enough - here we have 4 metres on a coil so you can cut off exactly what you need!
**Please note: these pipe cleaners are stiffer than ordinary craft pipe clenaer, but if bent back and forth repeatedly (5-6 times) they may break. If you need to bend the pipe cleaner repeatedly, our 0.5mm cotton covered copper wire may be more suitable. This is is about the same stiffness but much more malleable.**
The 'fluff' on these is a short cotton, ideal for wrapping wool around for wire armatures. You will find it easier to create poseable needle felt sculptures with these pipe cleaners as they are much stronger than normal craft pipe cleaners.

How to make a wire armature:
A wire armature looks a bit like a very simple skeleton. Imagine the neck and spine of your creature (and tail if it has one), with simple legs attached. It can help to draw a profile view of the animal at the size you want to make it, then trace the line of the spine and legs onto the drawing. Make your wire armature to fit the lines you have drawn. You can fold a pipe cleaner in half and twist around your spine pipe cleaner to create 2 legs.

Amazing Value for money large quantity of items suitable for anyone’s stash
I've found these needles to be excellent quality and reasonably priced having a labelled container makes it easy to find a new needle when required. I would recommend them.
Just what we were looking for to make armatures for small felted animals.
So far I've made 5 of these (sheep, penguin, owl, guinea pig and duck) and they are all just so cute. If you're new to felting, I'd start with the owl as it was the least complicated, and quick to make. The wools are lovely and soft. I have found it easier to use a core wool for the basic shape and use the kit wools to cover. I got these as part of the Black Friday deal so were a good price too.
I thought I wrote this but my cats feels I should write it again (after all its from them), I saw this wonderful kit sold on behalf of Cat Protection and it looked fun, I love needle felting and wanted to learn how to make jewellery and this kit was it (2 things I love cats and felting, so bought as a gift from my 2 cats) its wrapped and under the tree. Ready for me to make over Christmas, and of course I will be going back to the web site to check out other kits.
Exactly what I ordered, arrived in time for Christmas
Absolutely beautiful 😍
It’s lovely and soft short fibres. It felts really quickly. I’m making a gingerbread man on a tweed wool fabric, to add to Christmas cards. The idea was from the Makerss Advent Calendar. I’m starting now for next Christmas, so all my cards are going to be gingerbread men, reindeer, Santa, snowman etc.
Easy to use glue pen especially for smaller pieces.
This little magnetic case works really well holding some of my felting needles. It's great for safely transporting my felting needles when I'm out and about. Highly recommended.
I really like the product - wish it was available in larger amounts!! Seems out of stock now & I need more please restock soon
I used this for the armature to build bugs bunny and I found it to be plenty strong enough.
Used for fairy type arms. It works well and enables you to cut to a desired length. Easy to bend to shape.
Soft cotton covering helps wool stick easily to pipe cleaner. I find it easier to build up shapes (e.g. legs) using pipe cleaner vs other wires as you have a head start. The continuous loop helps me be more efficient (no odd lengths/off cuts that aren't quite right size) and can cut to any length for larger creatures. I was worried it would hold its curved shape being in a loop but it does not, it easily goes straight or whatever shape you like.
