This donkey was first featured as our #83 Makerss Box in April 2024 and is an adorable cute make.
Contains step by step instructions of how to make them using needle felting techniques. The download will be automatically emailed to you a few moments after purchasing.
Your Donkey will measure 26cm in length and 19cm in height.
Techniques: Using wire and florist tape, wrapping wool, silk clay modelling, basic shaping, adding features.
To make this project you will need:
Natural White Organic Luxury Core Wool Batts
Brown Grey South German Merino Wool Batts
Natural White NZ Merino Wool Batts
Natural White Cape Merino Wool Batts (very short fluffy wool like cotton wool)
Milk Chocolate NZ Merino Wool Batts
8mm Black Glue-in Eyes, 2mm Aluminium Wire, Black Silk Clay, Florist Tape, Clear drying glue.
Tools: Felting needles #38 medium, felting mat, wire cutters
Suitable for crafty beginners, age 10+ and seasoned needle felters.

Great kit
I have had the Advent Calendar before, but things being a bit tight this year, I didn't order it back in June (or whenever it came out). When I saw it in the Clearance Event, I gladly ordered it, even knowing it wouldn't be here in time for Christmas, much less the count-down leading up to it. It came yesterday. While it wasn't quite the same as opening one each day, still, opening each of those packets one at a time was delightful. I absolutely love the new, fun fibers this time. Can't wait to use them. I see some very stylish gnomes coming forth soon!
I absolutely love the color of this fiber it is incredible. The fact it has sparkle makes it more than BEAUTIFUL since I am all about sparkles. Now I have to find a project that will show it off in all its glory.

I bought a few of the sheep swatches
As I wanted to check the colours before buying a bag full, for projects I am doing
They are a great idea, as its very difficult sometimes to get chk the colour online
I leave my sheep dressed and have quite a few now
This is the first needle felting/ creative making class I have ever attended. It was absolutely brilliant. The staff at the Makerss were welcoming and supportive. At the end of the class we were given discount in the shop and assisted to find anything we needed. During the workshop we were provided with everything we needed to create the dandelion clock and took much of it home. Agnese is a very talented needle felt artist and an inspirational teacher. She gave each of us the attention we needed if we got a bit stuck. She shared lots of tips and tricks during the workshop. I highly recommend attending one of her sessions.
